About Me & My Practice

IMG_0335.heic

My medical career spanned over 14 years working as a hospital doctor in the UK, Australia and most recently Hong Kong. I am a UK-trained specialist in Anaesthesia (in UK) and spent a large amount of time during my medical training looking after seriously ill patients in Intensive Care Units. I have also worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Hong Kong University teaching both medical and dental students.

As a very busy (and often exhausted) hospital doctor, I didn't have the time or energy to think about my nutrition but health issues encountered along the way made me reassess things. I have first-hand experience and truly believe that the right Nutrition can play a huge part in improving our health and health outcomes. The more I researched, the more I became fascinated and decided to pursue a MSc in Clinical Nutrition to deepen and consolidate my knowledge and understanding in order to be qualified to share my knowledge with others.

I am not currently practising as a medical doctor but I now prefer to use my extensive medical knowledge and experience to focus on my Nutrition practice.

In recent years, our understanding of the role of Nutrition in improving and maintaining our health has expanded.

Proper nutrition promotes normal growth, development and ageing, healthy fertility and pregnancy outcomes and helps us maintain a healthy body weight and reduces the risk of chronic diseases.

I practise evidence-based Nutrition which means you can be assured that the advice I give can be backed up with science. We are all individuals with different genetic makeups, lifestyles and food preferences and I will make a bespoke nutrition plan for you which can be maintained long-term. I hope with my guidance you will be able to enjoy food and at the same time optimise your health and fertility.
